Why would Hibbert have been better than Johnson?
All I can say is this trade p---es me off more then anything. We have a ton of draft picks we'll never be able to use all of them. The Pacers gave up a starting center which the Celtics needed for ONE COUNT THEM ONE 2ND ROUND DRAFT PICK. We could have done this trade instead of signing an Amir Johnson and been ten times better. Just needed to vent and say this. http://www.nba.com/2015/news/07/09/official-release-pacers-trade-roy-hibbert-lakers/index.html?cid=nbacomsocial_fb_sf10815457

Ainge could've still picked up Hibbert in addition to getting Amir. Not sure why he didn't pull it off.
I would bet money that Larry and Danny diascussed Hibbert and wss told, don't bother. He is not built for up tempo basketball.
