OKC's Enes Kanter is in Portland, preparing to sign an offer sheet with Blazers, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.

OKC will likely match, + then look to deal Novak/Augustin/PJII for $0. But POR is forcing their hand. Lots of teams were rooting for this.

Sounds like a max deal.  I don't think the Celtics should be very interested in what the Thunder are offering, although I know some people on the forum have been pressing to acquire Jones for a few years.  Maybe GSW would be interested in a deal that sends PJ3 to the Warriors and Pressey/Babb to OKC as part of the Lee/Wallace trade.

I don't get the fascination with PJIII, personally.

But yes, i agree that if it makes sense to hone in on the deal using Pressey/Babb, then all for it!
Celtics fan for life.

He's 6'11:.  Some people around here are desperate for height.

Jones started off the year pretty good and then got hurt.

I'm not overly fascinated with him, but I did want him and Sullinger in that draft, but sadly we took Fab Melo.

Sounds like he just got a max deal. 4 years, 70 mil. Anyone else find it odd that OKC ie willing to match that and not something similar for Harden a few years ago?

Even with the cap going up, I don't see how Kanter is even remotely close to being worth that. It's a massive overpayment imo.

Plus they don't want Durant to bolt , so they are putting the strongest team they can around him

I would take a flyer on Jones III.

Give them a second rounder.

That's a lot of scratch for Kanter considering the Jazz were a better team after shipping him out. Props to Portland for making the power move and forcing OKC to pony up, will be interesting to see what the fallout from the deal is and if Boston gets involved.

Kanter was always a guy you were going to have to pay heavily for potential.

One of those risky contracts. Could work out great. Could be terrible. Or anything in between.

Whatever one thinks about the Perkins/Green trade that ended our starting 5's run, it completely killed OKC's title aspirations b/c the absurd contract they gave Perk made the Harden trade happen.
