Dallas should be pushing hard to get their own pick back from us----that way they can control their own destiny.

Parsons is overrated. Danny skipped on him once and will skip on him again

Danny is going to knock on the nuggets door for lawson.

Sully, rozier, young for Lawson?. Also wouldnt mind Chandler
I would be unhappy if we decide to clear up our log jam at the 1, 2 and 4 by trading for another one.

Lawson starting and IT off the bench , would make us an incredibly difficult team to play against.

We would be a top 4 team out of the west (adding amir and a healthy lee)
Yeah I understand where you are coming from. I just think that for Smart to reach his potential we need him at the point where he can bully his way to the hoop against point guards.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

great point but what are they really going to give up if they just signed Matthews and have Parsons and Dirk?

I dont think Dallas is hitting the panic button like we think they are.  They'd not giving up young guys hat could help the rebuild because hey didn't get Jordan.

But Deandre got criticized for changing his mind. Shouldn't Danny get criticized if he does the same thing?

Danny isn't, just has players on hold so that he can add them when it is best for the Celtics, he will follow through on all his deals, just might want to see if he can do something bigger first.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

He's not changing his mind.  He is just keeping a tentative agreement tentative.  He has too much character to go back on his word, hence why he stuck to his draft promise to JR Giddens even when, ironically, DeAndre Jordan unexpectedly was still available.

My suspicion is that he is trying to figure out if he can still use Pressey's unguaranteed contract for something before July 15.  If he can, then Babb is sent to Golden State as the necessary salary in the Lee-Wallace deal.  If not, then Pressey gets sent and Ainge still has Babb's contract to use in a deal.  He could just send Pressey now, but someone might actually want Pressey, so why make the deal before you explore all options?

It can be something small like Pressey for a minimum salary veteran third-string big-body center who can be used to provided mediocre but credible defense against bigger centers.

Oh my bad I misunderstood
Azzurri | Juventus | Boston Celtics | Kentucky Basketball

"All the negativity that’s on Celticsblog sucks. I’ve been around when Kyrie Irving was criticized. I’ve been around when Al Horford was insulted. And it stinks. It makes the greatest team, greatest fans in the world, lousy."

I'm guessing we'll be hearing that they're exploring other moves until mid to late August.

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

Isaiah Thomas is here in Salt Lake City. He just told the media that he likes what he's heard regarding personnel moves that Ainge will make

Does Ainge have anything else up his sleeve? "I think he does," said Thomas.

I refuse to give up on Cousins until the season has started.

Like I said to the guy in another thread who talked about Durant coming here next summer . . . don't do that to yourself, man.

Screw draft promises
We should take bpa

I'd take Jordan who would have been drafted higher and rated higher  over a player slotted to be drafted lower that I made a promise to.

After last summer's lack of fireworks, this year's draft and Isaiah Thomas's recruiting efforts, I have decided to hope for nothing, thus avoiding future disappointments.
