This Years Outlook 15-16 season.

How is it fantasy land , that a team that has 6 first rounders the next 3 years , multiple 2nds, 50-60 million in capspace and a team full of young talent in a big market city (all be it not LA OR NY, or weather wise like MIA) we are not Milwaukee. Why is it putting all that into consideration... It is fantasy land to think we could sign 2 max players lol.

You all rather go out and max out Asik last year or sign Biyombo.

It is 100% realistic to think we can land Durant and or trade for cousins. More realistic than any team in the NBA that doesn't already have them on their roster. Stop being so negative.

Now to the 42-40 record, I'll just leave it at , our team was 40-42 this year, our team got substantially better.

Indiana I would argue did not get much better this offseason, lost Hibbert and West, which was their entire identity now the celtics actually matchup with them.

Detroit did get better

Charlotte did not improve much imo and we can compete with them.

MIA did get better
ATL did not improve
Toronto is probably the same as they were last year second half of season
Nets got much worse
Knicks got better.. But not better to the point they have w better team than us.
Philly still is not better than us, yes more talent potentially but not a better team
Orlando did improve but I would say is in the same position as Us, could surprise teams, but isn't anywhere near a contender.
Washington did not improve yet still a better team
Milwaukee better team than us.
Cleveland Chicago ... We know.

With that in that list only CLE,MIA,MIL,WASH,ATL are difinitevly  better than us.
I think we could possibly beat out INDY, DET, TOR or just one of them and make the playoffs. The other teams I difintively believe we are better than.

That's a playoff team folks.

Max level players sign with teams that already have at least one superstar or a couple of stars, or at least a couple of players who are perceived as future stars.

It is difficult to describe a probable scenario in which the Celtics acquire a superstar, multiple stars, or multiple star prospects in the near future. 

Any such scenario requires the Celtics, or one of the teams that owes the Celtics a pick, to suffer multiple catastrophic injuries and unintentionally tank.

I guess there's about a 10% chance it could happen if Sac finally gets sick enough of Cousins to deal him during the season or early next summer before FA. Then he proves himself as not a total headcase and then Durant signs to join him.

But Sac has had so many opportunities to trade him, can't imagine they're going to give up on him now..

I didn't know there were actually fans out there who had convinced thsemselves Boston would be in the running for Durant. They're not. If Durant doesn't stay in OKC, he'll go home to Washington where he can play with at least one other all star (Wall) and maybe more (Beal, probably). Boston will not have anything to offer than Durant couldn't get from ten other teams.

As for this coming season, let's not forget how big of a surprise it was that the Celtics made the late season run that they did. As exciting as it was, they're not going to sneak up on teams as easily this year. At best, this roster could win 42 games but it's just as likely (more likely?) they come back down to earth and finish in the lottery.

 Let's not ignore we got wins against teams that were banged up last season...We might be a lottery team.
