Young needs another year.

Hopefully he can develop further. The kid is so young.

That was a pretty ugly 1st quarter.  Rozier and Royce had some decent plays, but that was about it.  Is it just me or did our summer league team last year look way ahead of these guys?

I mean it was just summer league but KO, Smart, and the crew last year were at least fun to watch.

(gotta stay positive, must stay positive..)

I prefer this year to be honest.

Last year we basically had Olynyk, Smart and Pressey who played solid and everybody else was trash.

Out of those two guys neither Olynyk or Smart is very flashy / explosive, and Smart was struggling offensively, so I found the games actually a bit of an eyesore.

Now Smart and Pressey aren't playing so we get to see some of the new rooks give it a go, and some of those guys (e..g Rozier, Thornton) are super athletic, so I like seeing those guys get a chance to show off some of that athletic ability.

I actually really like what I've seen from Rozier and Thornton so far, in limited opportunities.  Both have been unselfish, yet look like they can get past their man with ease when they want to.  Look comfortable and capable, eager to see more.

I honestly see a LOT more potential in both Rozier and Thornton than I have ever seen in Young - who continues to dissapoint.

As much as we talk about the positives and negatives of Marcus Smart, one thing we never talk about is his basketball IQ and mindset...Smarts got it.  Young does not.

I like Hunter. He has great court vision.
Once you are labeled 'the best' you want to stay up there, and you can't do it by loafing around.
