Great news for us. If they lose Jordan they are surely a late lotto team. and as long as they arent 1-7 we get their pick!

....Which makes it more frustrating for me that we arent tanking ourselves and aiming for 3 lotto picks in next year's draft

This is great. Let's just have a do-over on the entire free agency period.  Get Kevin love !

This is nuts.

In all reality, the Cs (or at least many of the fans) would be quite happy if we had another chance at this off-season.

Centers playing musical chairs.  What team will be left standing without a center? Lakers!!! Haha

Jordan Hill's agent just smiled.

Don't forget about the 14th pick we are going to get from the Wolves when they surprise everybody and finish 10th in the west.

Please please please Jordan sign with the clippers
If he doesn't sign with them
Then clippers screwed us twice (1st by miraculously having the 3rd best record last season)

If mavs don't resign Jordan
They could very well go back into rebuilding mode
and with most of the premier free agents already signed
It screws up their PG and C positions
Meaning a higher pick than if Jordan was on their team

DeAndre Jordan has indicated to the Clippers he intends to play for them next season, but their team representatives are not leaving Jordan until he signs and may remain there at midnight, according to ESPN.com.

This whole thing is absurd.

Seriously. But so awesome. This has been an entertaining offseason.

I'm going to go make more popcorn.

Spurs vs Clippers...I wonder who Dallas will root for when those games come is what I'm interested in hearing  ;D

A Texas longtime rival or a team that snatched back DeAndre Jordan and effectively buried their franchise for the foreseeable future.

I'd be shocked if 100% of Mavericks fanbase is rooting hard for the Spurs to crush the Clippers lol

This is insane.

I can't imagine this will go over smoothly.  Is there a precedent for this?

I joked about Biyombo getting more money, but seriously there were deals in place contingent on Jordan's decision.  If he's not going to the Mavs, doesn't this throw a major wrench in stuff like Hibbert to the Lakers?

Doc and Pierce both reportedly part of the group and DeAndre's house trying to convince him to stay in LA. The captain might come through for us big time if the Mavs pick ends up in the 8-10 range.

It absolutely does.

If deals struck during the moratorium are not honored, it could cause a lot of dominoes to fall differently than previously expected, screwing over a bunch of different teams.

Heck, what if Amir Johnson ends up signing with the Mavs?  Celts could be left in the lurch.  Or perhaps Koufos will screw the Kings and sign in Dallas.

Quote

DeAndre Jordan has indicated to the Los Angeles Clippers that he will back out of his deal with the Dallas Mavericks to remain with the team.

Jordan reached out to Doc Rivers on Monday expressing regret on his decision and several members of the Clippers met with him in Houston on Wednesday.

The Mavericks fear Mark Cuban will not be able to get a meeting with Jordan. Tim MacMahon of ESPN reports Jordan won't even take a phone call from Cuban or Chandler Parsons.

The Clippers will stay with Jordan at his house until he signs his new contract.

Is this setting up some kind of Mark Cuban lawsuit?  Lol.  This is one of the craziest NBA stories I've ever heard.  LIke they show up to have an intervention for their drug addict brother or something.  "We aren't leaving your side until you agree to check into rehab"... Wild

I feel for Mavs fans.  I'd be seriously upset if a major free agent did this to the Celtics.
