The pressure is on… “Jeanie Buss says Jim Buss will resign if Lakers' rebuild fails over next 2 seasons”

"And when I say 'contention,' that means past the second round, so either the Western Conference Finals or the NBA Finals."

Bye Jim!

They're screwed. But if they're bad enough maybe they can trade their high value 1st round pick pic- Oh wait, they don't have it.

Philly owns their pick next year, right?

I bring up biyombo a lot as a Celtic target but I think he'd actually make sense in Los angeles. They need a defensive big next to Julius randle.   The last thing they need is more scoring. They should grab biyombo.

I wish the Lakers would sign Biyombo so we can stop talking about him

I think the Lakers are going to regret passing on Okafor and drafting Russell.

Not that I think Russell won't be good, but Okafor could've been their new franchise player and could've easily been selected at number 1.

Especially if Randle pans out after coming back from his injury. Randle and Okafor could've turned into a very good front court.

The Lakers thought they would just be able to pick up a free agent man. Now it's starting to come back to bite them.

It's a lot easier to grab a guard in free agency than a big man.

In addition to the 1st they owe to the Sixers, they also owe a 1st to the Magic.  They really need Russell and Randle to be good.

Who cares what the Lakes need. I hope they go down in flames.

when everything is said and done and kobe retires from playing nba basketball, i truly, deeply, and sincerely hope LA finds a prominent place for him in their management office.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

They could always try to trade Russell for Okafor but Hinkie would make them give up Randle to do it.
