After getting killed inside in the playoffs against the Cavs, they resigned Milsap, traded for Splitter, and just signed Tavares.

They got bigger, stronger, and better across their front line.

They essentially added another way to play. They can still spread the court and shoot a lot of threes, but they can also pound it with Milsap, Horford, and Splitter at the 3, 4, and 5.

They still need a Lebron stopper. They will miss Carroll from that perspective, but remember that they get Sefalosa back. I also wonder if they might trade Scroeder or Teague for a "swing" player.

The Hawks have agreed to terms on a multi-year contract with 7-3 center Walter Tavares, a source told Yahoo Sports.

they are making the necessary moves to compete...re-signing milsap was huge for them and adding splitter.

they also need a tough 3rd stringer just to wrap up LeBron and give 6 good fouls.

Yeah and they also added Tim Hardaway Jr which I think was a solid move.

They were exposed in the playoffs last year and I don't think they've improved much at all. Carroll was a big loss.

Not quite ready to accept Millsap as a SF for 30+ minutes a night.

I do not approve of this plan. They should have been concentrating on doing their game-plan better rather than jumping ship and trying something else.

They should have been going after someone like Monta Ellis to help open up their offense more and give them more offensive versatility. Someone who can exploit and utilize all those shooters Atlanta have.

There is nothing wrong with being small and quick in the paint.

I don't think they are giving up on their style, but they are becoming more flexible in their playstyle. They could still play small and fast with Sefalosa at the 3, or they could go big.

In other words, they can play multiple ways, much like the Warriors, Spurs, and Heat from the last few years.

They can go as big as they want but I won't be too impressed by their off season unless they sign someone who can score.
Long-form is far from dead, but please refrain from paragraph-laden posts! Who wants to read that?!
