Boston has been playing in the Orlando Summer League the past number of years. This summer they are scheduled to play in Utah. I'm wondering if this venue change had to do with the stanchion collision injury to Dairus Bertrans. He suffered a neck injury after colliding with the stanchion. It didn't turn out to be serious. (FWIW:The courts in Orlando are not that long. I don't think they can do much as far as setting the stanchions further back.)
Paul George broke his leg after colliding with the stanchions in Vegas' USA games and missed most of the season. Perhaps, the Celtics brass isn't taking any chances playing in those arenas because the stanchions situation hasn't improved. This is purely speculation on my part, but you never know. Maybe Utah's hoops pose the same problem? I wonder if NBA management thinks of such things. And, if so, do they react to it. I haven't read anything about this in the press or media. Has anyone heard of any stanchion changes because of these injuries?
