From now to the trade deadline, who can we trade for?

We need to be a destination for a good/top FA next summer. The draft and FA signings were ok, but they were opportunities missed. We have one more shot*, make a trade for a star before the deadline.

Cousins and Melo seem like 2 stars that could demand a trade if things don't go well. But, we've talked about them enough already. The Johnson signing came out of left field, maybe if we brainstorm we can think of some guys DA might target for trades.


*ok, we could also stretch or trade wallace and sign someone this summer

DeMarcus Cousins would be ideal. Melo isn't a good fit.

I would look at teams that are either in flux or actively on the decline.

In flux:
Denver
Chicago
Charlotte
Detroit
Washington
Phoenix

In decline:
Dallas
Portland
Sacramento

Those are the teams that are likely to become desperate and make rash moves or otherwise sell off players to position themselves for a rebuild.

These aren't "stars," but rather Guys from those teams That could realistically be available that aren't point guards and that I think are decent:
