C's are targetting Green and Amir Johnson.

Did Ainge start binge drinking, or something?

I'm actually totally fine with that.  Just build our core and get good then  get a big time free agent. I dont think its happening this year.  But we improve and go deep in the playoffs then we make a splash.

Amir Johnson and Green would be good fits imo.

Two lousy signings that would accomplish nothing good is what they'd be, imo.

This offseason is one to get out of the first round.  Next offseason is the big one where we have a ton of picks and ability to make a huge trade or get someone big.

Yeah, why not just play Young and Olynk more? Aren't we supposed to be developing them anyways? It would be a stupid move on Ainge's part if this is true.

Kevin Love is still it. Maybe he will bail on cleveland a year early.  Maybe we'll get  monroe.  But even still that should be the plan to just improve until we can get a player like that.

Like ainge said he wants to stay afloat as far as getting a significant player.  He doesnt want to sacrifice our future to do that.  So i trust he'll make the right moves that wouldnt do that.

There's no future to sacrifice if we sign someone.  With the cap rising 20 mil next season, it kind of puts pressure on us to sign SOMEONE this year when there are only a handful of teams with max money.  Next year, every team in the league will have max money... good luck signing someone when you're coming off a 30 win lottery season.

We need to do everything we can to add talent immediately.

Cleveland was a 33 win team that was able to lure James and Love.  The Lakers are a 21 win team going after the league's top FAs.  Going after useless players is nothing more than going after useless players.  Gerald Green doesn't get you to the Eastern Conference finals.  Amir Johnson doesn't get you to the Eastern Conference finals.

Go big and make a crazy effort at bagging the big fish, or go home and save your money for another day.

And the cap is supposed to rise another 20mil the following season.  We need to get two good players this offseason.

I want to get Harris and Lopez if we can't get love or monroe.  Would that fit for you?

Are you comparing the Celtics to L.A. and a team that was gifted three first overall picks and were fortunate to have the best player in the league grow up in Ohio?

right our situation is completely different than LA or Cleveland.  We cant do what they did.  We have to build more like the hawks but in our own way.  We are like a cross between the hawks, golden state and san antonio.
