by the media.  Not a whole lot of excitement surrounding him. I don't understand it.  Anyone have anything positive to say?  I've heard that he and Smart are redundant and I disagree. Both guys are tough defenders.  Rozier really attacks the basket and utilitizes his quickness, lift and speed to get under defenders. Smart more uses his strength to gain separation.  Totally different players that will compliment each other well imo.  I love tough guards and was really thrilled with the pick.  Also loved the avery bradley pick when everyone panned it. If anything Rozier gives us another dimension and even more options at guard.

I see Rozier has gotten better since the season ended...at least thats what DA and CBS say. He has a great ability to penetrate, which Marcus currently lacks. It would be sick if he was a bigger IT.

I agree.  He seems like a really slick guard to me. He's physical and really attacks the basket.  CSN really sucks sometimes. Depressing.  It's not even hate. Just apathy and trashing the pick and disrespectful imo.

Think it's hard to get excited about the 16th pick, add to that a small guard. Hopefully he's awesome but IMO he will have to prove it. But I do agree that he and Smart can play together.

He has to be a bigger version of IT and a better defender ultimately. HE's a bit of a project is all which is fine because we have IT.  For now  he gives us another dimension and we can bring him along.

I'm excited about him.   I'll be more excited when we see what moves are made to thin out all the guards on the roster.

As for comparing to Smart, Rozier I believe, isnt known as a good shooter.  Neither is Smart.  While I like both players, it doesnt exactly thrill me to have a possible bad shooting backcourt of the future

I dont think most people here hate Rozier, they hate that we created a huge logjam at guard on our roster.

Lots of folks thought things were going to fall more into place with this draft and free agency period and all we're left with is more questions.  It's more frustration with the constant unknown than with anything else I think

Rozier is a slick slasher.  Smart can post up and Rozier can really get after it. Both guards can.  If we have shooters surround them which we do it will work.  I'm not sure how much we have to thin out our guards.  We have a really good mix right now.  Thornton should be stashed.  Bradley could be on the move.  Turner should be as well.

We drafted Thornton as Turners replacement imo...  Rozier gives us  options with IT ultimately. Hunter and Young give us options with Bradley.

I think he's going to be a very nice player, and that a lot of teams are going to regret passing on him when all is said and done.

I'm not tuned into the media much, just this blog.  Unfortunately there's a lot of disrespect shown right here on the blog.  People say things they'd never dare say to the players face.  It always irks me but as the story goes I'm supposed to just ignore it..

I really like Rozier in Brads system.  They really want guys to attack the paint and he appears to be very good at it.  It would be a major win if develops into the starting PG with Smart on the wing.

hmmm
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

Read that last line again. One more time.

If he wants a chance to get any type of playing time, he's gotta figure out how to throw a better P&R pass than the floaters he was throwing in this video... (around 39secs)

Hate on Smart's passing all you'd like.. personally, I think Marcus just needs to improve his P&R reads but he's a significantly smoother passer right now than Rozier

I love the pick.  He has not shown me anything to think it's a bad  pick at all.

Russel Westbrook lite.

Marcus Smart lite.  He even looks like marcus a bit. Marcus is my favorite player so.  Tony Allen.  Guys like that. Always like players who bring toughness.
