Do you guys think this is a fit? It seems like he is another player that is going to fall off fairly soon (35 years old) is weak defensively and really can't create his own off the dribble. He seems to be the opposite of the "playmaker" they have said they need to add to their roster. Is this just Lebron being GM?

I think he would take the role they thought Mike Miller was going to play.  A guy that gives you a solid 5 to 10 minutes of quality offense night in and night out.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - Noah, G. Wallace, Melo,
Deep Bench -

Still a good backup SF. Good passer and terrific shooter.

Nice low cost addition but not the type of player Cleveland should be prioritizing.

MD Jr would be a great fit with LeBron.  Hope he stays with the Bulls.

I don't think he is "starting" material. Too expensive, I'd pass....

He was huge in these playoffs.  He is also the dirtiest player in the league and so a team in their conference with a ton of injury concerns should absolutely snatch him up if only to keep him from injuring their stars.  It was like how everyone wanted the Patriots to pick up Bernard Pollard.

He seemed to be too useful last year for Lebron to want him to fill out his team's bench.  Dunleavy in a couple of years seems to be the toast that Lebron usually goes for.

Why not?

They should be targeting two-way players.

Too many one-way (all offense or all defense) players on that roster. Bigs (defense) like Perk and Tristan Thompson. The offense-only backup wings with JR Smith (who can play defense but generally doesn't), Mike Miller, James Jones.

Would be a very good pickup for them. Played well for the Bulls last year. Would be a good player for sure. Would get plenty of open looks and he'll knock them down.
