Is crowder really worth 7 Mill per year?  That seems like the kinda deal that gets you in trouble.
A backup SF for 7 mil per year?... crazy

anyone see this - if you are a T Harris fan -

Michael Scotto: Sources: Tobias Harris would prefer not to return to the Orlando Magic and play for Scott Skiles, who previously coached him in Milwaukee.

For any information on Tobias Harris you should check out Steve Kyler.  Not only is he a good source for all NBA information he is actually friends with Harris and he said emphatically that is not true.

I can tell you Tobias told me personally how he feels and Skiles not a factor.

If some team wants to give Crowder 7 million a year, Ainge will pack his bags and drive him to the airport.

I think he'll make that. I wouldn't be surprised if he starts next year.

Crowder and Harris yes. Davis no.  We have enough pf

Yes, but are the PF on the roster better than Davis?

Crowder and Harris yes. Davis no.  We have enough pf

Davis is more athletic than Sullinger and better defensively.

I'd be happy picking him up.

I wish we'd stop looking at Sullinger and Olynyk as our power forwards when we can do so much better.

we already have 2 mediocre pf's , would rather have robin lopez over ed davis.

Yep...my sentiments exactly...although I'm hoping Sully can get better... :-[

Keep dreaming

Just Tobias Harris. Crowder can go somewhere else we won't need him, he is a backup / role player. And Ed Davis, well I would rather sign the 22 year old Biz Biyombo and try to give him as many minutes and touches to increase his value and game.

Give me a break.

What is it with everybody and Biyombo?

And I thought a year or two ago, a lot of people were interested in Ed Davis.

Why the sudden change of heart?

Harris at 10 mill would be amazing.  I would be thrilled.  I think we would have to go to at least 11 to get him.

Crowder at a good price.

Davis is absolutely unnecessary and no chance we want to sign him, especially at 9 mill a season.  We have young bigs we would like to extend soon if anything.

Pierce to the Lakers is the biggest joke on the page though.  Yeah right.

Harris at $10 mil per seems laughable to me.

I don't think you know the market very well (assuming you're saying this is high, apologizes if you are saying it's low).

Correction. You don't want him signed here. I do.

Harris is likely getting at least $12.9 million to fit into the Rondo exception.
More likely he gets $14+

I'd like to see Aminu brought here on a cheap long term deal which will help if Crowder wants too much.

I'd rather sign Biyombo for a $4x4 year deal with a year 3 Team option over Ed Davis given his age.

Trying to acquire these role players on the cheap while beefing up their stats would be great.
Surely we can dump Evan Turner for a 2nd round pick and let James Young and Hunter/Aminu fight for some minutes with Bradley and Harris or Crowder.

Yeah, that roster is going to make other team shiver with fear.

I actually think a Harris/Crowder pairing makes a lot of sense when you look at Brad Stevens system.  Harris provides the offensive punch, while Crowder glues it all together defensively with his ability to switch every where.  I think we very much need to keep him around and $7M isn't too bad when you consider 1) other players like him (Carrrol, DGreen) are going to get paid much more & 2) these 'swiss army knife' type swings are in very short supply around the league.

As for Ed Davis, I'd welcome the move because IMO, he's better than both Sully or KO.
What I like about him is his ability to switch defensively --he has very quick feet and good agility-- and he's also got a nice touch around the basket and a nose for the offensive boards.

Well said!

People can't seem to wrap their head around the fact that it's okay to pick up another PF even with mediocre Sully and Olynyk on the roster.

Davis is an elite offensive rebounder. With all the missed 3's we will be shooting this year. You need one of them to compete. I like all three signings. Trade KO to Toronto they want a Canadian on the squad I bet they would give us a 1st round pick.

Exactly what I am saying!!
