I don't think it is. The fact Woj reported what he did and the celtics are going to keep knocking until it really is a dead issue.  I think he is still going to be our main target once the floodgates open on july 1st.

I think common sense gives the most insight into the KLove situation. Sometimes things happen in a counter intuitive way, but I don't think so here.

Here I think the common sense thing for KLove to do is to do one of those 1+1 deals. He gets one more shot to fit into the Cavs for a Title run, and he still gets to opt out and sign a lucrative deal next off season. Further, by doing a 1+1 deal, he gets a little bit of security if he gets re-injured during the season.

He could sign a 1+1 deal with teams other than CLE, but the most sensible team to sign that with is CLE because they are almost certainly going to make the Finals again next year.

The option he has is to sign a long term max deal now. The reason to do that would relate to how unhappy he was in CLE and how worried he is about his health. If he thinks next season will expose him as a long term injury guy, then it would make sense to sign a max deal now.

Common sense says the most logical thing to do is to sign a short term deal with CLE, have another run with LBJ at a Title and then determine his long term future next off season when there is a ton of  money to spend all over the league.

These are good points. Why signing other players this offseason and going after KLove next offseason might make sense.

The Celtics will keep trying until Love commits, I'm sure.

Keep in mind, though, that even Woj's report said that the most likely option is that Love re-signs with the Cavs (if I'm remembering correctly; there are all kinds of reports out there right now).

That makes sense.  I think Woj was just saying we have a plan to try to lure him and I guess that plan would still be in place starting july 1st. Whether it works out that way is something else entirely.

He is due a back surgery at some point.   A lot of injuries and boo boo , now the shoulder pops out , too much stuff for a guy this young.

And he Whines

It has been dead since he signed with Cleveland, IMO.

I'm not aware he ever signed with Cleveland.  Are you reporting from the future?

My hope is that Wade reunites with LeBron in Cleveland, leaving no money for Love.  (This would require a sign-and-trade of Wade, but is not impossible if a second plausible suitor for Wade shows up who doesn't need a S&T, forcing Miami to choose between getting something and nothing.)

That would be awesome.  We get Klove and get to beat up on two players i really don't like.

So regardless of other suitors showing up or not, Riley is going to willingly sign and trade Wade to the Cavs? I mean this is the same Riley that nixed a Norris cole trade to the Cavs at the deadline last yr yet he would willingly trade Wade there? Ok then ::)

Besides where is this notion coming from that Lebron is dying to play with Wade again? In 2014 Heat sat Wade for a 3rd of season to keep him fresh while running Lebron into the ground and yet Wade couldnt show up for the 2014 Finals. They might be great friends but Lebron is about business first and friendship later. I highly doubt Lebron is interested in carrying Wades corpse anymore

The same way Carmelo signed with the Knicks when he left Denver.  ;D

There have been stories recently that lebron and Klove had a secret meeting and he plans to return for one more year.   just reading now but who knows.  If Klove is a dead issue.  Not sure monroe solves ours..  I'd just build with what we have and some other way.

Lebron's secret meetings are legendary. He is the best in the business at that.

It would be nice but I'm starting to sour on Kevin Love a bit.  If he is a guy who is going to be in lebrons pocket to win a championship he isnt a player i want here.

I really wish there was more legit news on him. It would make a lot of professional writers look a bit silly if he just immediately signed with the Cavs without meeting with any other teams. There was another front page article about the guy today on espn.
