Sam Amico makes stuff up all the time. Worthless rumor.

So in other words, he's Cleveland's version of Sherrod.

Take it with a grain of salt, even if 100% true that he said that. He's simply turning down the noise. I think he'll do his due diligence regardless.

My guess is that Love will go through the courting process of free agency, but he'll end up back in Cleveland.  Why sign early, when you can be wined and dined in some of the nicest cities in the United States?

Yep, that's my feeling too even if he doesn't go the on the wine and dine tour.

In LA, he'd make less money, would have less of a chance at a championship, and would be under as much pressure.  The weather and nightlife are trump cards, but everything basketball related slants toward the Cavs.

I won't believe Love is back in Cleveland until he signs the contract.  It's a no win situation for him there.  If they win, it's all Lebron, if they lose it's all his fault.  He is a smart enough guy to find himself a situation where he can be successful.  Whether it's Boston, LA or somewhere else. ...

Could the Cavs and Blazers do a double S/T of Love for Aldridge?

I doubt they can get under the apron far enough to receive a S&T player.

Anyone know if the Cavs and Blazers could execute a double sign and trade of Love for Aldridge?

Just wondering what our competition is for Love and I feel this could be a feasible scenario for all parties involved

He will resign or go back to the west. Only 2 options

Thanks for answering.

I don't understand how the Cavs can add any additional talent with all their financial obligations (including if they resign Love.)

14 mil for Irving
5 million for Mozgov
9 mil for Varajeo
The 20 mil it would take to resign Lebron
The 20 mil it would take to resign Love
The max contract it would take to keep Thompson.

Not to mention the money it would take to keep or resign Smith, Shumpert and Dellavodova.

Where are they going to get the money to cover all of this without going into serious luxury tax territory?

I want KLove here more than anybody but I am also resigned to the fact it probably won't happen.

If it doesn't, don't count out Portland.

That would be a good fit for Love.

A team that doesn't have as bright of a spotlight on it, plus Love would get to play with Lillard.
Furthermore if they resign Lopez and Wes Matthews, then Portland doesn't miss a beat without Aldridge.

I don't think there's any more of a chance of Love going to Lakers as there is of him going to Boston.

Basically, I am saying Cleveland is the odds on favorite but if not and he says no to Boston, Portland would be a good fit for him.

LeBron James and Kevin Love spent time together today in LA. Wasn't a free agent meeting, just hanging out sources said.

If I were Cleveland (and I'm not, nor anything close to understanding all the variables in the equation of an NBA transaction), I would sign Kevin Love to whatever contract he feels he wants (minus a no-trade clause), and promptly package him and whatever else Sac desires in a deal for Cousins.

I do not believe that Sacramento is going to part with Cousins for anything short of another high quality star and assets.  Draft picks, expiring contracts, and young promising talent (unless you're talking about a package from Phily that includes Okafor and one of either Embiid or Noel) is not going to get it done.
