"Marc Gasol has no interest in the Lakers because of the uneasy last few years his brother spent with them, according to numerous people familiar with the situation. "

In the article they also state that Aldridge is their primary target and likely why they passes on Okafor.

I'd love to see M.Gasol go to NYC and play in the Triangle.

Passing on Okafor because you think you're getting Cousins makes a lot of sense.  Doing it for Aldridge is dumb.  Dude is going to turn 30 this July, which means he's going to be exiting his prime before Russell even enters his.

It's a fun system to watch big men in.  It allows them to pass and handle the ball more which is fun.  Most teams are going away from that kind of thing but it's necessary with the triangle.  I am not someone who is some big triangle advocate but I love post play so I do appreciate that it will still be heavily part of a triangle offense because I miss watching that as much.

Marc Gasol would be outstanding in the triangle because of how skilled he is.

Can we say that this is one major free agent who probably has the Celtics way ahead of the Lakers on his list?

No you can't. He only has Memphis on his list. Forget him.

It is just really nice to hear that a top FA 5 does not have the Lakers on his short list.

Mitch "free the space and they will come" Kupcheck doesn't get a shot a this one.  Dang Lakers -- as if they needed the #2 pick.

I'd love to see M.Gasol go to Boston and play in the Brad Stevens offense.

I think he's highly likely to go back to Memphis, but not 100% certain.  He'll listen to other teams' pitches.  He will probably give the Celtics more of an opportunity to change his mind than he would give the Lakers.

Oh certainly, I get it. Just saying that it seems like there's always a big I'm actually interested for in one degree and another, but Who is excited to see him with the Knicks and the Triangle lol.
