BOSTON DOMINATED BASKETBALL AT ONE TIME. THE SPORT WAS INVENTED IN SPRINGFIELD MA. THERE WAS A TIME WHEN THE LAKERS, (that don't have any lakes in LA) WERE FRUSTRATED BY THE CELTICS TO THE POINT WHERE THERE SPIRIT WAS CRUSHED. NOW THE LAKERS ARE A DOMANATING TEAM TO WERE THEY ARE WITHIN GRASP OF ACHIVING THE MOST CHAMPIONSHIPS IN THE LEAGUE. WE AS CELTIC SUPPORTERS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THE MISMANAGEMENT SINCE RED AURBACH HAS DEPARTED, HE AND MY GRANDMOTHER WOULD BE ROLLING OVER IN THEIR GRAVES TO BE WITNESSING WHAT'S GOING ON NOW. I PORPOSE A BOYCOT OF THE TEAM UNTIL WE AS SUPPORTERS ARE SATISFIED THAT THE MANAGMENT IS SUPPORTING OUR GOALS TO A MORE WINNING DOMINATING ATMOSPHERE. BARRING MONEY AND SALARY CAPS. THIS IS ABOUT NEW ENGLAND AND WHAT WE STAND FOR. IF DANNY CAN'T DO THE JOB , GET SOMEONE ELSE THAT WILL! Pardon my misspells, and or, punctuation. But at 60yrs old I'm pee'd off!!!  >:(

LA has the farthest thing from a winning atmosphere right now.

Celtics have one of the most loyal and vast fan bases throughout the sport. I wouldn't say that the lakers are a dominating team, and are even years away from getting a chance at a championship. Although we are going through a minor rough patch right now, we are only a few years removed from having one of the most dominant teams in the NBA in the last decade.

My Celtic Pride says something else entirely.  What you think isn't pride.

Hope you didn't hurt yourself when you jumped off the bandwagon.  Did you watch a Celtics game in 2014-2015???  Personally, I was very proud of the C's this year.  Ironically, the title of your thread is "Celtics pride", and they played with a ton of it last season.
The C's haven't crushed the spirit of the Lakers since the days of Russell and Wilt.  That being said, the Lakers aren't a threat to add to their championship count...they aren't even the most dominant team in their own city nevermind the league.
Overall, I think you need to stop living in the past.  But feel free to boycott the team...maybe you can start with a boycott of Celtics-related websites.

By the way, posting in all caps is obnoxious.  It doesn't make your post any more important.
Before a game on Christmas against the Pacers, Bird told Chuck Person that he had a present for him. During the game, Bird shot a 3-pointer in front of Person. Immediately after releasing the ball, Bird said to Person, "Merry F!#*ing Christmas!" and then the shot went in.

Good ol' sports blogs.  Brings all types of people together, even angry 60 year olds.

I don't agree with your idea of boycotting the C's, but TP for composing a passionate, albeit a bit headache inducing (caps are bad), post.

If it was only so easy to build a dominating team.  The Lakers drafted an 18 year old kid with the 13th pick in the draft who turned into a top 10 all time player.  The Spurs had two allstars injured in the same season, tanked, and won the lottery and the rights to an all time great.  Miami was the beneficiary of three stars colluding to play together.  It takes a lot of luck to become a dominating team, smart management alone is not enough.

I think it was Chad Ford who just said teams are afraid to deal with Ainge because he keeps winning trades.  He's doing fine.

There's no reason to not be proud just because they're not winning championships year after year.
