I never thought the celtics could draft a player I'd like as much as smart the year after.  Smart is still my favorite but Rozier is going to be awesome.  Both are.  Gotta keep both DA. So sad lol.

If there was ever a time to trade AB its now. Between Rozier, Young and Hunter we have MULTI-dimensional guys who can all play D and handle the ball.

Smart, Rozier, IT, Hunter, Young...  alot of upside there.

Young plays D? And what else does he do?

I said Rozier is one of the greatest steals in NBA history and I'm sticking to it.

Smart and Rozier with IT and whoever that's a really strong backcourt. Smart and Rozier should be our backcourt for the next 15 years.

We have Bradley who is no slouch. Plus Hunter who is a steal shooter. And Thornton.   I'd just roll with that personally.   Rozier is going to take some time.

hahah thats bold man, but I like it! I sure hope you are right. If he develops his shot and the distribution concerns turn out to be a product of his role he could be a starter.

I've seen nothing but highlight film on this kid, and he looks very good.

But...I don't know if you know this, there is film that shows weakness on him too, and it's chuck full of goodies. He's far from a finished product.

I am aware but most of it is fundamental. His lift on his jumpshot is so good but he's more a pull up shooter who can create space.  He struggles off screens.  He's going to take a bit though. His offense is still a work in progress but he is so talented!

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
He sure does seem to have a little Rondo in him. I understand that his playmaking abilities are nowhere near Rondo-level, but he appears to have some offensive game. It must be in his movements and the fact that he sees the game a split second ahead of his opponents. I wasn't a huge fan of the choice, but if we move Smart or Bradley, then it will make a lot more sense.

Here's wishing you the best, Terry.

Okay so one of the greatest steals in NBA history? Let's list some for comparison:

Ginobili 57
Pierce 10
Dumars 18
Sean Kemp 17
Michael Jordan 3
Larry Bird 6
Tony Parker 28
Dennis Rodman 27
George Gervin 40
Alex English 23
Karl Malone 13
Steve Nash 15
John Stockton 16
Kobe Bryant 13

So you say this kid is more of a steal than all of the above? How about he will probably not be more of a steal than ANY of the above. I hope I am wrong but you might consider changing your statement.

On Youtube videos of this kid all I see are Wade comparisons. Honestly I see a LOT of Teague in his playing style. His shooting form, however, looks eerily like that of D. Rose, plus he's got that one-hop floater Rose uses so often. I just can't see the Wade comparison everyone seems to notice.

Very good analysis.  Tommy Point!

He is a slasher and physical and intense and gets under people like Wade.  I do not like Wade, so from now on, I do not see the comparisons anymore either.

I keep hearing the comparisons to Wade—does that mean Rozier kicks away opponents when he attacks the basket? Climbs up them like Bo Jackson climbing an outfield wall?
