With the Rumors speculating that Marcus Smart was on the trading block and the selection of a ball dominant/penetrating guard, should we begin to question the Celtics faith that Smart can play the point.

Durring his starts, Smart was listed as the starting point guard but for all who watched the games we know that the team depended on Even Turner to be the primary ball handler.  Many, including myself, thought that this would be Smarts break out year and opportunity for more responsibility on the offensive side of the ball. Should I question that now?

What position do think Smart should play?  Do think the Celtics moves show doubts about his abilities?

The guard position can be interchangeable.

This is one of things I like about Rozier. He sounds like a really good fit alongside Smart in the same backcourt. Both guys are combo guards. Both guys capable of playing off the ball or initiating the offense. Both guys strong defenders & rebounders. Neither guy a strong passer. Share the load.

I think people have a very lack of understanding of what a player in the trading block actually means...
