Did anyone else hear the commentator last night on ESPN, wondering why the NYK picked Porzingis? Mentioned that this was questionable knowing that they need a defensive C...Here's the tweet

Ian Begley: Have to wonder how the Porzingis pick impacts Knicks reported interest in Greg Monroe. A Melo-Porzingis front line could use a plus-defender

Since he was rumored to go to NYK or Boston, could this possibly open the door for him to join the C's?

I hope to god Greg Monroe isn't the so called bright spot of acquisitions for the Celtics this offseason.

I really believe that Monroe will be a Celtic..then make a trade for Hibbert

c--Hibbert

think that's why DA drafted all those guards..someone is going..and Pacers need guards plus they drafted Turner..stay tuned
C/PF-Horford, Baynes, Noel, Theis, Morris,
SF/SG- Tatum, Brown, Hayward, Smart, Semi, Clark

I don't think Porzingis will start as a rookie.

I expect the Knicks to try and bring in two experienced bigs to play ahead of him and help teach him the game. It sounds like Greg Monroe and David West are their top two targets to do so.

RealGM is reporting that David West will sign with the Knicks.

To quote the Bard, Zinger is a year away from being a year away. Makes no impact on Monroe's chances of signing with NY.

Porzingis isn't ready to start. There's nothing stopping them from signing Monroe and playing Porzingis off the bench for a year or two.

I really don't know how Monroe doesn't fit any more. Monroe is a low post banger and Porzingis is a stretch 4. Do you think they can't play together? Not sure how this opens the door for Boston. I mean really who would prefer to go to Boston over NY or LA? I'm a die-hard Celtics fan but if I were in that position it would be a no-brainer to go to NY and all that the city has to offer plus they actually have a star on their roster in Carmelo. Who do we have? Do big name free agents want to rebuild in Boston and the cold weather. The only way we get players here is via trade. Free agents will go to the bright lights and fame.

This sucks and I feel Danny is just talk and no action. I have been in his corner up until now. What happens next year- we draft 8 more guards from 16 on? It's not like we have the guards that Golden State has and even if we did - Cleveland only lost because they had so many injuries - if Love & Irving were healthy they win that series - sorry Steph but that's the truth.

First of all this helps  greg monroe  go to the knicks because now they get a pf who can streach the floor and protect the rim. This lets greg monroe play center
zach lavine-jeremy lin-tyus jones
jeremy lamb-tyshen prince-Andre miller
will barton- beljina-
Kevin love-kevin garnet-payne
Karl anthoney Towns-JJ hickson

Gladly take Monroe but forget Hibbert he's awful. Slow, bad rebounder, average offense, no thanks. I'll be p---ed if we pick up that stiff.
