Hinkie holds all the cards. Split the 96 minutes at PF/C evenly between the three. 32 minutes each... Then force the league to get into an all-out bidding war. They own like 3 of the 5 or 6 best big man prospects in the league (the others being Davis, towns and maybe Drummond... Maybe gobert... Though I think all three Philly bigs will be better than Drummond and gobert). Who wants a franchise big? Everyone. They should be able to trade one for an allstar at a different position.
Sooooo jealous of philly fans.
I see this backfiring for Hinkie and Philly.
1) Have those minute splits ever worked out? Sounds good in theory, I don't know of too many examples of it really working out though (especially with 3 players the same age). Usually ends in the opposite where there's an odd man out and everybody ends up unhappy (like Phoenix last year with Bledsoe/Dragic/Thomas or Detroit with Monroe/Drummond/Smith or Utah with Big Al/Milsap/Kanter/Favors).
2) Hinkie is only going to deal those players in what would be a landslide victory for him. So he's going to hold out on trading one of them until he gets a sweetheart deal, only he'll hold out too long. Then Noel's contract will only have a year left, so nobody wants to give anything significant for him, so it's Rondo-to-Dallas or type return at best, or he walks for nothing like Greg Monroe, Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, or the player openly asks for a trade and those returns are never good either.
3)
Players and agents already seem to be down on Philly. Now, on draft day -- the most important of the year for Hinkie as the Sixers enter the third year of an organizational rebuild -- one NBA insider says agents are telling the Sixers not to draft their clients.
"There are agents that have told the 76ers not to draft their players," ESPN NBA insider Chris Broussard ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike in the Morning. "Because of the history of losing the last few years, trading away the rookie of the year Michael Carter-Williams after a great season.
There were rumors that the agents for Russell, Porzingis, and others told the Sixers not to draft their players. I think we're making a big assumption that all those guys are going to be successful and happy in Philly and then sign extensions after their rookie deals.
So Hinke's going to demand a Godfather-esque deal to move them, wait till it's too late, then he'll get pennies on the dollar or lose them for nothing. Meanwhile Noel, Embiid, and Okafor aren't happy sharing minutes and the ball, nor are they happy with the lack of supporting cast and constant revolving door of players, their agents aren't happy that their value is being held back, so they demand a trade and/or refuse to sign an extension.
I think the odds are against Philly that this all works out great.
