I would have preferred every player picked after Rozier other than Nance Jr. absolutely an epic fail by Ainge last night. Obviously one or two guards on the current roster will be traded, most likely is Avery Bradley and Marcus Smart. So I do get it that Rozier is the replacement.

The expectations going in to the past two drafts have been extremely high and the results have been very disappointing. Hopefully Ainge can deal for One of Phillys bigs.

Now it's on to free agency and trade season. I bet Brad Stevens almost stroked out when Ainge drafted another 6'2 combo guard to join the 17 we already have.

Rozier projects to be AB with handles.  How is that bad at 16? Maybe other players will be better only time will tell.  I was surprised by the pick but I will withhold judgement.  Worst case this opens AB up to be traded in return for a premium player.

I think you just need some attention. That's why you felt the need to start a new thread.

OK here comes a basketball lesson.

How do modern NBA offenses work? Pick and roll dribble penetration.

Who's our best player and why is he our best player?.  Thomas can penetrate and finish at the rim, he can initiate our offense for easy buckets because he can dribble penetrate and pick and roll.

Who else on our team can dribble penetrate?????  ....... Keep looking at the roster maybe you'll decide Pressy and Turner are pretty much it.

Now you realize why we drafted Rozier??

We need players who can handle the ball in pick and rolls and get into the paint.  As of right now only Pressy, Turner and Thomas can do that.

Nope....

You need to look at pick value to the selection made.....

Worst....Kaminsky at #9 (Typical Charlotte Pick)

I know we're all focused on wringing our hands over the Celtics, but it's on topic, so - I just read on ESPN that Larry Nance Jr is getting his career off on the wrong foot over a tweet he made a few years back where he called Kobe a rapist.  Whoops-a-daisy!

Between that and Kaminsky making a post last year where he specifically cited Charlotte and their fans as the kind of environment he wanted to avoid, the Internet era seems like it's going to be full of this stuff for newly drafted guys.

This. Charlotte was loaded with bigs and needed a wing. They could have had Justice Winslow to go with their youthful core. Instead they settled on their 3rd big of the future. I like Frank the Tank but did not understand the Hornets' thinking when they selected him.
