So I know some of our guards could be on the way out here's my idea.

Smart/Sully/Wallace to Indiana for Turner/Hibbert and a future lottery protected first.

sign Paul pierce and that's a decent rotation.
"Maybe there is hope for us afterall

I post a lot of stuff on my phone autocorrect sucks.

Thomas/Rozier/thorton
Bradley/Hunter
Pierce/Crowder
KO/Turner/Mickey
Hibbert/Turner-KO

I would really like that lineup running crowder at the 4 would be intresting as well. who would say yes or no?

Not liking Crowder at the 4 at all.

Crowder is 6'6" with "only" a 7'0" wingspan.  Those numbers are solid (not amazing, but solid) for the Small Forward spot, but are way undersized for the PF spot.

Bass is 6'7" with a 7'2" wingspan and even he is too small at the PF spot sometimes.

Yeah I was waiting to see someone suggest going after Hibbert.  Would make some sense, I guess.  We need a center and have 80 guards.

Would it really take a lot to get Hibbert? Indy doesn't want him...

He gets a bad rep I think he could be decent for the Celtics.

I was actually thinking of something along the lines of this when the trade went down. I don't think Smart should be included in the deal, as we wouldn't be getting nearly enough back in return. (PS I am not one of the people who overvalue smart. He just at this point has more trade value than Hibbert who 29 other teams in the league know is heading towards a divorce with Indy.)

I also viewed Turner as the target, not Hibbert. With the opting out of West, Indiana now has holes all over their roster, and the building block is still there. I know the Celtics brass appears to be high on Rozier, it just seemed like Rozier fits the exact kind of player the Pacers love. This led me to a conclusion that Rozier/Sully for Turner wouldn't be the worst idea ever for both teams. If Sully keeps playing that mid-range/prayer 3 style player, he could fit next to Hibbert without too many problems. Sully's ceiling could be something like a new age version of David West.

However, if we work off the assumption Rozier isn't going to be flipped (based on Celtics chatter), then he could be the heir apparent for Bradley's role on the Celtics. You sub Bradley into the above trade for Rozier, it could look something like this.

Bradley/Sully <---> Turner/ (heavily lottery protected future 1st or something like 2nds, because Danny loves 2nd rounders)

New lineup for the Celtics is something like
PG- IT/Rozier (don't know if IT is committed to coming off the bench for a reach rookie)
SG- Smart/Hunter
SF-Crowder/Young (high hopes for Young this year man)
PF- Kelly at his natural position/Mickey (would get a chance to wow us)
C-Zeller/Turner

He gets a bad rep because he sucks. 7'2 of softness and disappearing when needed. Would I trade a couple of our 80 guards and take a chance? Probably but it's not a game changer.

They certainly wouldn't trade Hibbert and their recently selected talented big man *and* a pick.  If the events of last night mean anything, it's that it's harder to offload our "assets" than many here would care to acknowledge.

Hibbert could be had, but I'd hate to take on his contract without offloading Wallace's. What's the point of Hibbert if his salary clogs the cap from adding an impact FA? I imagine he'd be gone next offseason if that were the case.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

But that's what I'm saying, Celtics have an overload at the guard position. We'd have to hopefully get rid of Wallace.

Especially since they seem to have been picked said recently selected talented big man specifically to replace Hibbert.
