I mean he was a great player for us, and made shrewd moves that put us in a position to win a title as GM. As Pitino said years ago, "the negativity in this town stinks and it sucks." I get that people are upset because there was a chance a blockbuster deal could have happened tonight and it didn't, but the offseason has just started.

Remember how bad we were after Bird and before Ainge was the GM? A lot of you probably don't.

The only reason Ainge has a job is because he sold his young very promising core early to mortgage his future on Ray and KG. Can you imagine what he could have gotten for Pierce. Maybe you win the draft the year after and get Rose. Breaking up the 2007 team with all of its potential and the potential to add more young impact pieces via Paul Pierce trade should have been the right play. This happens and the Celtics are probably contending right now. Danny saved his job and has been living off one off-season for years!

The "very promising core" of Big Al, Gerald Green, and Delonte West?  That's the core that he "sold" for a championship?  And you're unhappy about it?

i'm not upset with how Ainge has run the team. I am absolutely done with his infatuation with undersized players though.

Always been a HUGE DA guy, but this draft was horrible, absolutely horrible!  Needing a big rim protector, a strong athletic SF that can really shoot, and an absolute sniper at guard, with size--and you pick THREE guards and an undersized PF!  WT......! Danny better be making some FA moves or trades really fast, cause I don't think the outcry from fans is dying down anytime soon!  This was just BAAAAAAD!!!
