Two guards drafted that really make no sense unless a trade is coming. Common sense says that more moves are coming. Hopefully whether it is SMART or BRADLEY along with other assets a big man follows!

Two guards means nothing.  You draft the best players regardless of position.  And judging by mid to late first round picks since the beginning of time, there is no guarantee that these two will become much of anything.

When you draft players that play the same position as your strengths I disagree with that logic. I GUESS WE WILL SEE!

Here's my joke trade proposal:

The Celtics trade Marcus Smart, Avery Bradley, Isaiah Thomas, Jared Sullinger, Tyler Zeller, and both future Brooklyn firsts for Demarcus Cousins and Carl Landry, giving Karl an instant starting lineup that made the playoffs, subbing in Rudy Gay for Evan Turner.

Team is:
Rozier/Pressey
Hunter/Young
Turner/Crowder/Wallace
Bass/Jerebko/Olynyk
Cousins

"You draft the best players regardless of position." Which still doesn't explain the rozier pick...

Danny picked the guys he picked because he thought they were the best players on the board.  And that may not be saying much.  You aren't going to trade away an nba player because you drafted these guys.

if you're looking forward to a trade, the most realistic one is Hozier + Wallace to Philly for nothing.  We want to dump the Wallace contract and Philly can use a scrub guard to throw the ball to their phenom triple tower prospects.

All along Danny says he believes that you draft the best player available, and then when he picks two guards (who are very different types of players, mind you), people go crazy.  Especially when the second guard drafted is a guy many wanted with the first pick instead.... Hold it together, Boston!

Even if Ainge believed that, he could have gotten Hozier about 10 picks later... hard not to see this as a failure.

There's not enough minutes to go around at PG and SG.

A trade is coming.

If you have 1 asset on your roster that another team is interested in then yes you take the best player available if as in the Celtics case you need to improve the roster. Come on BRADLEY , SMART, THOMAS and TURNER where do do play them. A trade is coming!

I don't know that "sense" is much of a factor at this point. A lot of us expected fireworks, but not only did we not get any, we didn't even get someone at 16 that had even been mentioned as a possibility. That made little, if any, sense.

So, in short, wouldn't surprise me at all if Danny DIDN'T trade any of our small fries.

and the 4th and final pick...you guessed it another 6'2" guard.

Danny, I'm getting a little worried.
