Will they send Jahil Okafor along too? I like actual NBA players, not guys that need to be in a nursing home

Fair enough. No need for the sarcasm. Just seeing what people think.

Yes, absolutely...and Philly looks like a great trading partner. They didn't get Russell and we need a big. I would gladly take any of Noel, Embiid, or Okafor for Smart - especially with the Rozier selection (which I am not psyched with, but something has to give with all these guards).

Add Hunter to the collection.

Obviously yes.  Philly can do much, much better than Smart for embiid. Even if we included hozier and the Brooklyn pick I think that's a hard pass by Hinkie.  Superstars or bust. Embiid is prob better than everyone in this draft.

We need a few thousand more Embiid threads on this site.

With the HUGE asterisk that he hasn't played a single NBA minute yet due to several injuries...
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Sure... but he was spotted dancing at a Philly night club a couple days ago and when fans approached him he said he was fine and not to believe the media.   Okafor hasn't played a single NBA minute yet either, but we're not getting him for Smart either.  *shrug*

Difference is, I think Okafor is a better player than Embiid.

I think Okafor has high IQ and is skilled / polished enough offensively to be an effective starter in the NBA right now...and far as I'm aware he has no major medical concerns in his past.

Embiid is (from what I'm standing) a pure prospect.  He's got pretty terrible Basketball IQ, and while he's got skills in a variety of areas, raw in a lot of those areas.  I feel it's quite possible that Embiid becomes a bust, even if he somehow stays healthy over his career (which is seriously have doubts about).

Okafor for Smart I would do - Embiid for Smart...no.  Too risky.

I don't know as I really don't know how good Embiid is/will be. That said, i would really really like to keep mart as I think he is only going to get better. I think I rate Smart higher than any opposing GM would, so if I were Ainge, I would probably not trade Smart.

If Embid's medicals were to clear him, of course you make that trade.  You get it done immediately, before the 76ers have a chance to change their minds.
