Most notable for the C's in recent history was the Ray Allen trade.

That same year Golden State traded  Jason Richardson for the 8th pick.


there was the Maggette/Jimmer/Bismack three way trade from 2011.

Orlando traded into the top 10 last year.

Somehow, Minnesota traded Randy Foye and Mike Miller for the 5th pick in the 2009 draft.  Would have been an amazing trade if they hadn't screwed up that draft royally.

Yeah, but they already had the #6 pick, so were they really trading into the top 10?  :D

yeah.  I wanted to see someone list a team trading a 12 and 17 pick for like a 7th pick or something.  Trying to find this info myself

close. But I was looking for something lower than 10. Like 5 , 6 etc.

Anyways , with what you guys have posted, 9-11 might be in reach . But nothing earlier unless a player is involved

The general theme is that teams in the top 10 want to get some established talent (i.e. All-Star, former All-Star, or looks-like-an-All-Star) if they are going to trade away their pick.

This year could be an exception, though, with so many teams in the top 10 interested in making the playoffs next year.  Makes trading depth for a quality draft pick more plausible, though still unlikely.
