LaMarcus Aldridge has already informed the Portland Trail Blazers that he plans to sign elsewhere, according to a Western Conference executive.

The Blazers traded away Nicolas Batum on the eve of the draft in what appeared to be "a rebuilding move."

ESPN's Chris Broussard cited a source saying Aldridge was 99.9 percent certain of leaving the Blazers.

Aldridge will consider the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, Atlanta Hawks and New York Knicks.

San Antonio or Hou IMO

I find it strange that Aldridge is leaving Portland in a year where there are no good options in the free agent market.

Aging superstars - Dirk, Kobe, Duncan (Parker 33 now too)
Lottery dwellers - Lakers, Knicks

What is so interesting about these teams? I don't get it.

If you want to be on a contender for the next 5-6 years, none of those teams were better configured than Portland.

Good likelihood Aldridge ends up regretting wherever he ends up.

Houston makes the most sense for him.
Haven't thought of Atlanta as a place for him, could make some sense too.

If we could do only one thing, make it be signing LMA.

Its safe to say he'll end up on a texas team. Hes from there and all 3 teams will have cap space.

Aldrige drumps the blazers.

Portland wants Porzingis. Have very little to offer to grab him. Unless Lillard is offered

Is it a rule that anytime a free agent is on the move whomever announces it must list NY as a possibility? I mean come on I've been hearing this for 20+ years and that team always sucks and still sucks why does everyone assume NY is a destination?  ::) ::) ::)

Houston has no cap space.  They'd have to acquire him via S&T and that would probably have to include Ariza.

Well I guess it's Monroe or bust. Really hope we get at least one promising big in this draft

Why Atlanta? If he's all about Texas, then why not Houston? If he's all about the big city, why not Brooklyn or Chicago? I have so many questions
