My Scenarios

For starters I would love, no pun intended to lure Love, Lopez and Pierce. A starting 5 of IT, Smart, Paul, Love and Lopez might be enough to get us to the finals. I don't think this will happen but it would be pretty cool.

2nd scenario I would like to see us sign LeMarcus, trade for Cousins and get Paul back, again paired with IT and Smart in the backcourt.

3rd scenario is trade AB the 16th and 28th pick for 8-10th pick and draft WCS, see if we can get Love and Paul and again pair them with Smart and IT.

None of these will probably happen and I have a feeling the Lakers or going to make some serious noise come tonight, they have Kobe, Randle returning, this years pick. A team of Kobe, Randle, Anthony Towns and then throw money at a PG and SF and they'll be a team to be reckoned with.

Smart, Young, 16, 26, Brk '16, Brk 18, Sullinger for 1 player.

That being said I do think that this is the sort of deal it would take to get #3. It just would not be a good decision in my oppinion.

I dont see how they get Towns, so lets say the take Jahlil (as draftexpress and nbadraft.net project). They then have ancient Kobe Bryant and two rookie bigs who are known to play 0 defense.

I see 0 game changers at the SF or PG position  this summer, so I dont see how they can put together any menacing starting 5 like that.

I am worried that Randle + 2 gets Cousins and then they sign one of the PFs out there to a long deal. LA wont be too relevant till Kobes deal is off the book

Big fat overpay.

You usually have to overpay to move up that much. Almost always not worth it.

Probably some Sixers propaganda to get back at Danny for leaking the Noel rumors the other day.

For what it's worth, I'd actually consider that kind of overpay for Russell. It'd probably be a foolish decision, but I'd do it. Okafor doesn't have the kind of superstar potential to me to make this kind of risk worth it.

Why the heck would the Lakers pass up on Okafor for a guard?  It makes no sense.

Exactly, they could be confident they're going to bet a big this summer. Also, maybe Russell is on top of the Kings board. Who knows.
