Just saw on NetsDaily that Marc Stein is reporting that the Nets are making Mason Plumlee available with the hopes of moving up in the draft. It also said,

"According to one insider, the Nets have tried to get into the lottery with an offer of Plumlee, who was first team all-Rookie a year ago, and their pick at No. 29.

I don't think Billy King will have much luck with that. I'm sure he is still kicking himself for not trading Plumlee and D-Will last season to Sacramento that he rejected. Oh well, all the better for us.

I wonder who will be worse for them, Plumlee or a potential rookie. I will be cheering for the option that makes them worse.

Billy King might as well hope Kate Upton will mow his lawn for 5 dollars.

Billy King has zero clue what a given asset is worth.  I am shocked he has a job.  He must be ridiculously cool to hang out with or something, his career makes no sense to me.

Plumlee would actually fit well on this team. He gets up the court well, blocks shots, rebounds and scores well from inside. Let them have one of their picks back, using a TPE, and get us a rim protector.

True. I don't think King is too bad at drafting players. And in retrospect, I don't blame him for trading for D-Will several years back, as anyone would have. But much of his Nets tenure has been a failure, highlighted by his Pierce/KG deal. It must suck being a Nets fan.

Its a bad time to be a basketball fan in NY in general LOL. Although the fan base is still solid around here. I live in the area and a surprising about of people are NYK and Nets fans.

This demise of the Nets has been glorious so far. Wondering how aging ISO Joe is going to play, and how many games dwill gonna be on the floor.

Now now, that's a bit unfair.  I'm sure he could move up to at least #25 with that offer  ;D

Especially now that I'm reading Thaddeus Young is going to opt out (hell, why wouldn't he?).

I mean honestly, Young is basically the ONLY player on that nets roster who has a positive Real-Plus-Minus rating and isn't stupidly overpaid.

Him leaving basically ensures that they lose a LOT of games while also continuing to remain way above the Salary cap.

Perfect for us! haha

Their best trade asset is Mason Plumlee I just realized. That is all they have.
