All I can say is I'd love to have Rudy on the Celts.

We need a wing that can score and he fits the bill perfectly.

I am quite surprised to read Sacramento would be willing to move him, especially on such a reasonable contract.

He wanted to. But not anymore. Rondo wanted his buddy to come here, so I don't understand why they would want to get rid of Gay, since Rondo is friends with Cousins/Gay.

Let them keep the Disappearing act called Rudy Gay.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Don't understand what you mean.  He's a million times better than Evan "the disappearing act" Turner.
He averaged 21 points per game last season.

Anyone on the Celts do that last year?

Cousins and Thomas not liking each other?

Rudy Gay didn't want to come to the Celtics?

Where is everyone getting all these stories from?? ???

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I am not sure of the asking price, but I would love to have Gay on the Celtics. A reasonable trade for him and signing a big man (Aldridge, Love, Monroe, Gasol, etc) and this would be a homerun of an offseason.

Obviously, I'd rather have Cousins...at any cost, but Gay fills a need and is a go-to scorer.

just always seemed that Gay, Jeff Green and Joe Johnson were all the same player--with varying degrees of effort.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

Sacramento is a mess.

Rondo doesn't seem like a George Karl system guy does he?

Could their MGMT/owner still have a thing for Rondo, and Karl saying no way?

This is not true

Yeah, I think this article is hogwash. The guy even wrote, "One theory is the Kings are looking at clearing cap space to pursue free-agent point guard Rajon Rondo." Whose theory? I haven't heard anybody mention it. If they really wanted Rondo, they would try to keep Gay.

Gay would be a good fallback if we couldnt get Harris IMO... especially is we could do a package that included getting the 6th pick.  Gay was on some pretty dysfunctional teams, so I'm not sure it was all about him. Toront had quick success without him, but also fell off the planet late last year.

Gay is big...can post up  and score.  Like I say, not a bad thing to keep in mind.

I'd find it very hard that the Kings would be able to entice Rondo to join them if they trade Gay away.
