He shot .750% from the line for his career and .780% last year which is good. He had one good year of 3p% last yeat at .457% but the two years pryor were under .300% But while he got better shooting the ball his blocks per game went down each year from 1.2 Bpg to .5 bpg Steals also decreased from a high of .9 spg to .4 then to .7spg last year.

For me it's the rebounding though, for a talented 230 pounder, with a  44 inch vertical, a stud like that,  3.5 rpg is not acceptable for a first round wing. I would rather roll the dice that I can Get Hollis jefferson to shoot a decent percentage from deep, than to try to make this kid a better rebounder.

RHJ avg 11.2 ppg and 6.8 Rpg as a sophomore playing the same minutes 28 MPG as Anderson did, and I think RHJ is a much more versitle defender with much better quickness.

I rank RHJ over him as well.

RHJ reminds me a lot of MKG. Broken jumper and all...

Anderson seems like a low ceiling, low floor guy. Just can't buy into one year of good shooting.

Not super interested in a projected defensive role player who wasn't much of a steals or blocks guy in college.  Doesn't bode well.

usually players with a good FT% translate well into the NBA as shooters.

I here you bro, but what about the poor rebounding numbers, that usually translates to a poor re-bounder  in the NBA, at small forward too I don't like that.

I'm not interested in RHJ, or Anderson. If those are your best options, either go for potential in Oubre, or try to move up. If those can't be accomplished, just flip the pick. Try to get a SF through a trade, because those guys have a low ceiling.

From draftexpress, this may explain the steals and blocks metrics (pretty interesting)

Quote
Pack-line, which gets its name from an imaginary line a couple of feet inside of the three point line, which is sometimes taped onto the court during practice, dictates that nobody, besides the defender guarding the ball, should extend themselves beyond the line. The philosophy has produced some of the best defensive teams in the country over the last few years, with Virginia's adjusted defensive efficiency ranking in the top-6 in the nation 3 of the last 4 seasons, but it's a philosophy that doesn't tend to produce a lot of steals: Virginia, despite generally being one of the top defensive teams in the country, has ranked within the top 150 in the nation in terms of steal percentage only once since Bennett's arrival in 2009-10, and that was a rather pedestrian 97th in 2011-12.

From DraftExpress.com http://www.draftexpress.com/#ixzz3dvzU62Qu

And this from Austin Ainge regarding Anderson's huge improvement in three point shooting not being an anomaly:

Quote
Celtics director of player personnel Austin Ainge said the Celtics are concerned with players who have years that might look like an anomaly but that watching Anderson's 3-point shot and discussing the improvement assuaged his concerns
.

I'm a big Anderson fan. Ultra-competitive, great athlete, 7' wingspan, strong as a bull. Still has upside despite his age because of his work ethic.
