#Celtics president Danny Ainge said it's rare a player truly opens his eyes in pre-draft workout. Asked if it happened this year, said "Yes"

So, let's get the speculation going.  Who opened Danny's eyes, and is this who the Celts will try and move up in the draft to select?

The most likely candidates are:

Portis
Hollis-Jefferson
Anderson
Looney
Wood
Harrell

I would have to say Justin Anderson.

Also remember Danny was not able to attend workouts in the beginning.  But his son and CBS probably gushed about a few guys they worked out.  I'm hoping it was Mickey

He was doing lines with Upshaw, obviously.

Yeah, a player projected for the 2nd rd in a draft that is said to lack depth that's who did it.

I would say Justin Anderson, kid is explosive and has improved his 3 point shot dramatically. Exactly what we need at SF. 3and D with athleticism , we're looking to get out scoring down low and 3 point shooting.

That's who I think and hope it is.

Austin Ainge described that particular workout with Anderson and RHJ, among others, as a "bloodbath". Pretty strong words. Must've been incredibly intense.

I think they're sitting on Anderson.

You guys are working under the assumption that this is based on workouts done by the Celtics, Ainge has also gone to workouts from other teams.

AINGE: That's a pretty good Dream shake.

UPSHAW: Told ya.

AINGE: I don't know if it's worth five dollars, but it's pretty good.

Anderson looked really nice this year til he hurt his hand late and couldn't throw the ball in the ocean when the stage was biggest - he was actually around 48% from 3 before the injury.  But he always played very hard.  Wouldn't surprise me if this was correct.
