Point of no return for these two.  Karl wants Lawson and Faried.  Denver with hiring Malone, would be happy to get Cousins in returns.  A trade can workout If the Kings owner gives the ok.

The Kings owner imo is the problem guy here.  If you want to keep Cousin, why did you fire Malone?   Malone hit a road bump for a bit but the Kings looked as good as they ever did in the beginning of last season.   If you hire or are ok with hiring George, you needed to make sure he was going to get along with Cousins (study the past vs other star players/type of players he gels with).   If a trade was to happen, my guess is

To Denver: Cousins, Gay, Stauskus
To Sacramento:  Faried, Lawson, Chandler, #7 pick, Future 1st

Denver lineup
Cousins
Gallo
Gay
Stauskus
Harris

Kings lineup
Turner (#7 pick)
Faried
Johnson (#6 pick)
Mclemore
Lawson

who wins the trade?

I don't see why Karl is being portrayed as a GM, his job should be to coach his roster, not whine about it and create problems with the personnel.

Karl is making a major power play here. I think he's going to get away with it. Let's hope it results in Cousins taking a flight to Beantown.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

I assume it was someone in Cousins's camp that leaked this recent bit of information.

I don't doubt that, but that's not to say there isn't any bit of truth to the multitude of reports highlighting tension between Karl and Cousins.

Correct. In fact, it wouldn't be a George Karl coaching spot if things weren't tense between him and his players.

I think the trade is heavily in favor of Denver, but you're definitely on to something with Vivek being at fault. Just a stupid, stupid move to not ensure that your coach and your superstar are compatible. I think you're probably right that one of them is gone no matter what, at least by the end of the 2015-2016 season.
Isaiah, you were lightning in a bottle.

Cousins will be traded

I think so too.  But it will take Faried, Lawson and the #7.
Nuggets might like to keep the #7 so that they can have a chance to grab Mudiay.  Maybe the Celtics can be the third team to step in to help facilitate a trade

If the Celtics can get involved,  how would you guys feel about obtaining Nurkic for the  #16, 45 pick?

If I was the Sac front office, I would prefer to keep my all star center over george karl.  Let karl reunite his denver team somewhere else.  You don't trade your best player for a bunch of average but good players and expect to become a contender.  But that is just me...

Everyone keeps overlooking the business aspect to this.  If you're the owner there's no way you can sell unloading Cousins to your fan base - especially this guy who's a huge NBA fan.  If the fans have given up on Cousins that's one thing, but I don't think that's happened.

Boogie remains the single most marketable part of this franchise.

You can't deal him.

Neither.

The most likely outcome:
Karl remains coach, Cousin remains with the Kings. they resign Gay, and with the #6 pick they get Porzingis. Or Herzonja.

Frankly, none of the trades I've seen proposed for LAL, DEN or BOS quite match up to that outcome.
Celtics fan for life.

I think Cousins forces a trade ......or the tension is too much.......I have to think the owners are starting yo look stupid at some point.   Changing coaches way way too often.  Not a sign of stability , or place I'd want to go if I'm a free agent.

They need to settle in on a coach and start fresh .  Leave the perpetual drama of Cousins behind .
