I'm hoping that the rumors aren't true about the Celtics trading down to get him. I would be really disappointed if Turner was the big acquisition of the night. If he's there at 16 (which he will not) and we don't trade down that's another story. I saw him play a few times last year and wasn't that impressed. Seemed to get lost in the game a lot and a bit awkward when he had the ball in his hands.

If they're going to trade down I'm hoping it's for either WCS or Winslow. I wouldn't be disappointed with Stanley Johnson or Hezonja either. Porzingis I'm not sold on for some reason when I watch him play but I would be a lot more content with him than Turner.

you mean trade up? I agree though Turner is a bit overrated.  He reminds me of Tony Battie for some reason.  It's those high shoulders.  He should be a good pro though.  I don't think we should take him either.  Stein has foot issues as well.  Kristaps is more like KO and is 19 which means we aren't winning for a while unless we get someone else and bring him along.

This draft is funny because there are some good players but not a lot of game changers.   Rumors are we are trying to trade up but might be something else going on.  Winslow is a good player but again these guys are very young.

I'm assuming you mean trade up? Turner is definitely a potential pick at this point. I'd go for him but I'd rather get Winslow personally. I think I would still rather go for Turner than WCS though considering that they both have a lot of ?'s and it seems like WCS will still go higher. None of us can actually predict if injuries/running problems will actually impact these players not to mention that they are both very hard to project as far as role goes at the next level IMO. Personally if I'm buying a lottery ticket I want to buy the cheapest one that still gives me a chance to hit the jackpot.

Yes, my mistake. Trade up. Tony Battie is a great comparison.

If we trade up the question to me is who would it be for?  Something doesn't sit right with me.  Maybe we really are getting Cousins.

STanley Johnson can't shoot. Winslow.....  Kristaps, WCS or Turner seems like.  A lot more question marks there than people realize sometimes.

Hesonja is a hot player right now on this site and could be a ginobli type of scorer but really? Seems like we can find that later.

Winslow isn't the next kobe bryant either.  Neither is SJ.  Good young players sure.

Worst case scenario is probably Tony Battie, best case is LaMarcus Aldridge. LA's freshman season at Texas was very similar to Turner's, I bet that Turner would have improved drastically during subsequent seasons if he had stayed in school. Check out their numbers:

Turner: http://www.sports-reference.com/cbb/players/myles-turner-1.html#players_per_game::none
You are no longer black, or brown, or yellow, or red! You are now GREEN, you are light GREEN, or dark GREEN!

I never said his numbers weren't good as a freshman. In fact, I think they're solid. I was talking about the eye ball test. I've seen play in 3 games and I wasn't very impressed. I could be wrong and he could turn out to be a great player in the NBA but after seeing him play I would be disappointed if the Celtics' big acquisition of the night was him.
