NBPA told agents in meeting Monday that it is researching Philadelphia for possible violation of collective bargaining, sources tell RealGM.

Wonder what those possible violations could be.

This should be interesting. The timing of it is just perfect for the Sixers

Hm. Probably Saric?
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

They stay under the cap(Edit: should read cap floor) until right up at the trade deadline then take on enough salary to get over.

But because that salary is only there from end of February on they wind up paying way less than the actual cap floor.

Probably work related demands.  Mandating off-season workouts for example.

That's my guess anyways. Seems like the NBPA would be most p---ed about that.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if the players feel screwed since teams are supposed to divide the difference between the team salary and the cap between their players.

Appropriate punishment: Take away their first round draft pick and bench their star player for four games.

So I guess that would mean they only lose a first.

How is not breaking the rules a punishable offense again?

Because I also said you have to bench one of their star players which, with this team, is simply an impossibility.

But I'll add a ;) for effect.

Neither one of our teams has a star bud.

Does the NBA have an agreement like European soccer where the worst team gets demoted? Perhaps after back to back seasons winning a combined 37 games they will be forced to play as the Philadelphia Liberty for a year?
