No Portis

One JJJ is enough
In what way is he like JuJuan Johnson?

In no way whatsoever. Portis has a high motor and his effort levels are never questioned. Also, Portis has an NBA body.
You are no longer black, or brown, or yellow, or red! You are now GREEN, you are light GREEN, or dark GREEN!

I second that, Portis is 242 pounds already, JJJ was about 200 pounds.

? I can't think of any reason why Portis would be compared to JaJuan Johnson.

at this point, I would be happy to come away with Portis, RJ Hunter and Upshaw.
Larry Bird was Greater than you think.

I'd still rather make a move up, but if there is no takers for moving up then hope Portis is there at 16, and move up to get Hollis Jefferson that shouldn't cost too much to move up 5 or 6 spots late in the first round. RHJ is actually a better and quicker defender of than he's teammate Stanley, he's just skinnier with a really bad jumpshot, but he really competes. If the jumper develops he's a nice player.
i wouldn't get overly excited about it but I could certainly live with it.  Add another decent prospect at 33 and I'd be just fine.

I guess I am a cynic, but...in order to have a backup plan, first one must have a plan.  I haven't seen evidence of one.  Can the magician pull another rabbit out of his hat?  I hope all our hopes and wishes are not in vain.

Is there any similarity between RHJ and Bradley? I can picture RHJ having a AB impact on the floor in the SF spot. Solid picks overall. We would maybe need to trade down a bit for him, he has consistently been in the low 20s range.

The players I like in this draft besides Towns which we wouldn't have a shot of getting, Russell if we get to 4, WCS or Hezonja if we get to 6-12, Portis if we stay at 16, D. Johnson or Micky at #28 but there is almost no possibility we actually pick a player at #28, and in the second round I'd like to take a flyer on Upshaw and Connaughton.

I don't like Winslow, only goes left, Myles Turner who has to learn how to run... no seriously, he needs to change the way he runs, Porzingis who seems like every other tall Euro player to not make it in the NBA, or even Okafor who isn't the shot blocker everyone says we need.

I do like Rozier from Louisville but I'm not sure where I'd pick him.

Can I mention I was the one person who mentioned Rozier pre draft?

Thank you!  I watched the combine scrimmages and his athleticism stood out.  They just kept saying his name, Rozier rebound.  Rozier nice defense.  Rozier with the drive and basket.  It looked like he was playing in a different speed than everyone else.  He had 8 or 9 rebound in like 20 minutes with a couple of steals and I think hit a 3 but I don't want to go look it up.  I remember being impressed with him, Connaughton's shooting, and Mickey who was blocking everything in sight.

Funny we came out with two of those three guys.
