Previous workout was with Houston (#18). If something is brewing between Denver and Houston, should we try to jump in with #16 + assets instead?

Maybe a trade involving Ty Lawson. Say Motiejunas + #18 for Ty Lawson.

I'd say for sure that's because Houston is looking at Denver's pick in a trade.

Of course, it hasn't been mentioned much around here, but I think there's actually a possibility of us making a deal with Denver as well. Depending on who's still available, they could take interest in a Young, Olynyk, 16 and 33 (Or MIN/DAL pick) for #7. I think they'd be interested in IT, I just don't think Ainge would trade him just yet.

that actually makes sense for both teams.

hopefully this is a pre-cursor to a Demarcus trade.

first-- Lawson, 7 for AB, Turner, 16, 28, 33

then-- Lawson, KO, Young, 7, and two future BKL firsts for Cousins

According to the ESPN trade machine, Houston needs to add $5.2 million of salary to make this trade work.

Houston isn't an ideal trading partner due to their lack of assets and salaries to trade. They're just like the Clips: so top-heavy that they have very few middling contracts to use in trades. It's the same reason we could never get a Houston Rondo trade last year.

And if that's all it takes to get Ty Lawson then why aren't we jumping at that?
