http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2498449-5-realistic-targets-for-boston-celtics-to-chase-during-2015-offseason/page/2

http://grantland.com/the-triangle/a-eulogy-for-if-only-the-bulls-as-we-know-them-are-probably-done/

Bleacher Report speculates about a possible Gibson for Bradley trade:
Quote
A combination of one of their stretch-4s and a first-rounder, or Bradley and a first-rounder, could be enough to get the Bulls’ attention, particularly if Fred Hoiberg wants to change Chicago’s identity to be more free-flowing and offense-focused.

Quote
Gibson would instantly become Boston’s best frontcourt defender, providing them with some much-needed rim protection that no one on the current roster is capable of. He’s athletic enough to play effective help defense and is no slouch guarding one-on-one either.

Quote
Gibson isn’t a three-point shooter, but he is decent enough from mid-range to force opponents to respect him. Additionally, with the league getting smaller, the 6’9” Gibson could potentially play most of his minutes at the 5. He’s strong enough to guard most centers, and he is a strong rebounder on both ends.

So what are your thoughts? Gibson would be a good addition as a rim protector who is solid on offense as well.  It seems like pure speculation, but it does seem like Chicago and Boston match up pretty good as trade partners.  I don't think I would trade Bradley, but if they wanted Sully or KO, the Rondo trade exception, 28, 45, a 2nd in '16 I would do that.
2019 historical draft.  Pick 12

Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson, Elgin Baylor, Scottie Pippen, Willis Reed, Mitch Richmond, Sam Jones, Dan Majerle, Bob Cousy, Rasheed Wallace, Shawn Kemp, Marcus Camby

I wouldn't. Gibson is turning 30 in a week and just had ankle surgery that will put him on the shelf for 4 months.

I like Gibson a lot.

He can defend multiple positions block shots and make the midrange J.

I think he fits perfectly next to a guy like Greg Monroe, and  I hope we go after him this summer, but that price is stupid.

Chicago already has Noah Mirotic and Gasol and they do not want to pay Taj Gibson who is a 30 year old with some injury issues the next 2 years on his contract. we have leverage here.

AB alone is an overpay, AB and a first is a big overpay.

No way unless it's C's getting Gibson and McBuckets for AB and 28.

I don't really see the point of swapping one player of Bradley's caliber for an even older player of a similar caliber who plays a position that's already overloaded on this roster.

The proposed deal makes no sense unless they're planning on shipping out at least one of Olynyk and/or Sullinger.

If we sign Monroe then I wouldn't be opposed to it. Send Bradley and Crowder for Gibson and 22. Send 16, 28, and Olynyk for 9 and Stanley Johnson. Grab RJ Hunter at 22.

PG: Marcus Smart
SG: RJ Hunter
SF: Stanley Johnson
PF: Taj Gibson
C: Greg Monroe

6th man is Isaiah.

All This .

Like him ok....but AB can be part of a deal for a younger player.....or better player.

I gotta say pass right now

AB ...is set to have a pretty good year I bet .....him and IT are huge buddies.

I sorta doubt this happening.

He is great player ......once we get the TWO STAR elites we need more.

I think all our bullets should go to land either star talent ....or top four lottery picks.....

I wouldn't do Bradley for him, but the Celtics have nobody on the team with Gibson's skill set.

I would do it in a heartbeat.

We may have a lot of power forwards on the team but none as defensively aggressive as Gibson who is a much better player than Sullinger and Olynyk.

Plus I don't share the same unconditional love for Bradley that most here do so I pull the trigger on this in a heartbeat.

Agree totally. Perhaps we could substitute Olynyk for Bradley and add in Turner if they want him. Pairing him with the defensively challenged Monroe is the key here and, because of his age, really the only reason to consider such a trade.
