While many execs still see Wade/Heat as contract saber rattling, a Wade option will be the Lakers. Mutual interest, per league sources.

Hard to see LA offering Wade a better chance to win than Miami, especially in the West. But it is LA, and they do have money to burn.

This summer expect many players to have "interest" in the Lakers and the Knicks.

Yeah, but the difference is that Wade is a future HOF and has played his entire career in Miami. This isn't exactly Luigi Datome.

I can't imagine a better scenario than the Lakers signing Rondo and Wade to play with Kobe. Oh man, would that be sweet. Jahlil Okafor would retire in a year.

Between this and Wade's dad wearing a Cavs shirt at a church sermon, I'm suspecting that Wade's agency decided that today would be "Put Heavy Pressure On Riley" Day.

Maybe the guy is so in love with his new wife he wants to be with her out in Hollywood.
That is where she films her TV show Being Mary Jane.

Lakers have the pieces to put together a team that can contend one last time with Kobe. A healthy Kobe, plus Wade, Boozer, Julius Randle, pick #2, Jordan Clarkson. They will still be screwed once Kobe retires, but if they move Randle and #2 for great vets, or move Randle and draft Okafor, they will be in decent shape. If they sign Love instead of Wade, then they really need to move Randle. Maybe they get Rondo to sign on for a moderate deal as well, considering the hit his market value took last year.

Yes, Lakers, please suit up two post-up heavy 30-something guards with a million miles on their knees.  Have them combine for 45 shots a game and freeze out all of the other players on the roster, including whichever potential franchise big man you draft this week.

Perfect.

They are not competing for anything with Wade and Kobe. First they both play the same position, I would like to see one of them at SF trying to check SF's . Second they are both over the hill, and third they are always hurt.

I would laugh at that roster . Plus who would want to go join that duo? After dealing with Lebron, I can't see Love wanting to deal with dos divas .

That would certainly put fans in the seats, but they would be mediocre at best IMO

Avery would fit in nice in Miami. He can defend the point on D and have Dragic check the 2 guard , then they can go back to Dragic as point and Avery as sg. Also Avery's contract is great for Miami because they will be trying to resign Whiteside.

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
Why do the Lakers and Wade have mutual interest? Sure, Lakers have money to dole out. But Wade and Kobe still won't move the needle, maybe just a tad bit enough to coast them into the 8th seed, and then what? Kobe and Wade are great HoFers, but the Lakers would still need a Center.

They would actually need a whole lot.

I do agree, that Bradley would be perfect in the Heat. But I think hes going to the Jazz for the 12th pick.

This is definitely not a good idea for them but as a Celtics fan, i say go for it.

Wade + Kobe + Randle + Love + Okafor with Jordan Clarkson off the bench?   Lol, defensively that would be a riot.

Except Love is not on the Lakers and this assumption that he ends up there without any kind of evidence is obnoxious.
