Teams told not to talk about matching RFAs

I found this an interesting tidbit.  Teams typically in the past would announce they intended to match any offer a restricted free agent received, partly as an attempt to discourage other teams from making an offer.  The Players Association finally called this for what it was, and the NBA, without agreeing completely, told teams to knock it off since they'd probably lose in court.

So this year, don't expect to hear GMs making pronouncements about matching offers to restricted free agents like we did in years past.
