You don't understand whats coming out about him.

Taylor @tbiv21
@stevekylerNBA So signs are pointing to Robert Upshaw going undrafted? Hard to imagine every team passing on his upside even with red flags

Everyone I have talked to about him (8-10 teams) does not have him on their board at all.

He is has been in and out of those kinds of programs... but the stuff associated with him is scary for a team.

Marta O. @LakersandElves
@stevekylerNBA @JaredJ831 what I've been reading has him as having already done that, or in process (rehab, therapy, etc). Not the case?

cue the auto-reply from Future Celtic Fan to re-emphasize the need to pick this guy with #16 so no else will take him.

What you guys think, is it crack, meth, maybe heroine? My vote goes to cocaine maybe. There should be a poll.

The heart problems suggest cocaine imo, which when combined with the Len Bias and Reggie Lewis stories, is why teams will stay far, far away from him.

I'd still take him in the 2nd round. Low risk, high reward opportunity.

question -- can teams include a specialized drug-testing requirement as part of a contract or would that be prohibited by the CBA?

If he is available in the 2nd round.

I firmly believe that teams in the 20's, much more teams with Free Agent Centers will take him there.

I say take him at #16 already.

While I firmly believe that drug use is massively oversold as a red flag in most professional sports, I don't think it's in the franchise's best interest to use a guaranteed pick on him, and I assume most teams feel the same way.

And which team should have learned the Len Bias and Reggie Lewis lesson better than the other 29 teams combined?

Not going to use #16, but I'd consider a late first. Guaranteed money at that point doesn't worry me one bit. It's more about missed opportunity. What upside do the remaining players have? We'll see. But guaranteed money at the end of the draft is pretty much peanuts for me to give it more than a glance as a weighted factor in this.

come on guys, most people have as undrafted and we should use a 16 pick still? Not sure if this is just trolling to get a reaction at this point...

NO way you waste a 1st rounder on him.  WAY too many issues.  Maybe a second rounder where there's no guaranteed money.
