I was just looking at these and reading
a story about them on ESPN, but they didn't show the blue or black unis.
My initial, gut reaction: There's something I like about the new LAC logo and the stripped-down look of that red uniform, but I don't like how the team is now mixing black into the home unis—having "Clippers" in black but still having blue on the collar and side panels clashes—and those black unis look downright D-Leaguish, particularly with the outline of the basketball and because the logo is so small as to be hard to decipher from a distance.
I'm generally not a big fan of a red-white-and-blue color scheme (unless it's a patriotic team like the Patriots or Sixers), mainly because it's so overused. I'd definitely like to see the Clippers incorporate, you know, an actual clipper ship, or some aspect of one (sails, for example) into their logo and unis, and if they want a new color scheme, maybe ditch the blue and go with black and red.
TP to the OP for the photos.
