I found this interesting considering the Nets don't own a draft pick next year and could lose Brook Lopez if he opts out of his contract.

Anyway, if Brooklyn agreed, I would deal our 16th pick for Plumlee. He's a decent center with NBA experience and I think is better than anything else we'll be able to draft at 16.

I like Plumlee a lot. Im not sure Id be too happy to give up 16 for him, but this is certainly a good option if no one we love is on the board. If we could get 29 as well that would be nice as we would have a bunch of swings in the 25-35 range to hopefully come away with some nice players. 28,29,33.

For me option 1 would be trade up, 2 would be out for someone like Gibson, 3 would be someone falls to us, and 4 would be something like this

Wouldn't it be Plumlee + #29 for #16?

This is closer to something I would but I am not sure I believe this rumor.  Doesn't make sense for either team.

To be fair its unlikely Plumlee is ever much better.

I think which will be better, Plumlee or #16, could be debated.  What I don't think could really be debated is that helping the Nets in any manner is to our detriment considering we're holding their pick for next year.

bottom line, Plumlee may be an ok backup center but he's not going to move the needle for that team.  #16 is unlikely to move the needle either but I'm not willing to take that chance.

He was a starter on a good team this season.

Draft: 8 first rounders in next 5 years.

Cap space: $24 mil.

Yeah but Stevens would keep him on the bench for long stretches during games including the end of games.

Remember when the Nets could've unloaded Deron Williams to the Kings but they didn't want to give up Plumlee? Yeah, me too. All I have to say is: HHAHAHAHA

its all about the potential implode that a trade like this can cause that makes me happy. We need them to do as worse as possible. I feel that Brook is going to opt out to get more guaranteed years. Their owner is on a mission to cut costs supposedly, and most likely won't let Billy King resign Brook. If they deal Mason, Brook and Young opt out, their team is reduced a few players and about 8 million of cap space.

I like Plumlee but there a couple of guys I like better at #16 -- Portis, J.Anderson, Looney, RHJ.

I would trade the #28 and early 2nd rounder for Plumlee.

Pass.

Plumlee is a good player, who has exceeded the expected value of his draft slot (#22) but as someone else stated, there are a couple of guys who might be available at 16 that I would prefer.  And beyond that, I'm still hoping Danny can move up.

It will p--- me off, though, if some team up above us stupidly trades their pick for him, thus helping the Nets out.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.
