16, 28 and Evan Turner to Orlando for the 5th. Two of Orlando's beat writers have recommended shopping the pick, and - truth be told, they are about set with Vucavic, Payton, Oladipo, Tobias Harris and Channing Frye. Turner is a helpful wing, and they can pick up a few guys to spell the bench lower down. They don't need anymore starters.

Not a bad haul for a pick Orlando doesn't much need.

And then we take S. Johnson, or J. Winslow, as we need a super aggressive SF more than just about anything.
WDYT?

They desperately need outside shooting ET does not provide it.

Pick 16 could, but ET offers very little for them. They already have 2 ball handlers who can't shoot too well.

I don't think it is enough to get us 5.  Probably have to throw in a nets pick

16, 28, Turner, 2016 Nets first
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

For me there is a huge drop off after 3 maybe 4 if you think Kristaps is great. Things is ORLis in youth mode/longterm and ET does not help them with shooting or in the future.

Now, IT and ET for the 4th is something I would love to have...and take back JC of course.

There is no way in a million years Orlando even makes a counter offer to that idea.  To hop from 16 to 5, you'd need to give up an unprotected Nets pick in 2016.  Mind you, that might be worth it, but 28 doesn't even get the talks started.

We also have valuable assets Jonas Jerebko and Luigi Datome to sweeten the deal!

Is that post a shot against Mudiay or Russell?

I know I'm in the minority. and I wouldn't mind giving Turner away, and we could probably turn the 5 pick into more than pick 16 and 28 but I'm assuming you want to draft one player at 5 and I just don't see it.  Admittedly I know very little about the two Euro guys so maybe Hezonja is the next Drazen but I doubt it.  If Russell isn't available and unless Danny is sold on a Euro guy, I'm fine rolling with 16 and 28.  Maybe using a second this year and future second round picks to move up a little like our deal with Dallas to get KO.

WDYT?

Vuc, Frye and Harris cant play defense, hence why Orlando sucks at defense. They need someone like a WCS IMO

Exactly, Orlando can stay at 5 and either pick a quality SF or go after WCS if they want a defensive big.

The Orlando GM just chuckled

Correction: It slowed to a chuckle fifteen minutes after the belly laugh started.

They need help scoring MUCH more than they do another defender.

I disagree with Orlando shopping their pick
As they can still get valuable talent that would fit perfectly with their team
Kristaps porzingis, WCS, justise Winslow would all be great picks for them

Plus there is no guarantee Tobias Harris returns so the 3 or 4 spot should be open

If they're "set" with that they'll be lucky to make it out of the first round in the next few years. I think Orlando is probably the least likely of all the non-top 3 lottery teams to trade their pick. They're still too far from contending and their pick at #5 isn't really worth giving up Smart or the Brooklyn picks for.
