In a recent interview new front office manager Vlade Divac was asked about it trading Demarcus Cousins. He seemed to indicate he would only consider doing a trade if he was talking to Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan. It is unclear who he would covet on the Hornets roster, but they have a lot of interesting pieces

Divac was then asked if he would entertain any offers for Cousins.

"Well, if it's Michael Jordan there, I'll think about it," said Divac before laughing.

joke? I cannot think of anyone in the Hornets that would make them trade Cousins for

Kemba is their best player, but who else will they include? half the team and half their picks?

He was joking that he'd only trade Cousins FOR Michael Jordan.

Read the quote, he says nothing about taking a call from Michael Jordan, he is making a joke that he would trade Cousins for Michael Jordan.

If you flipped Danny Ainge's name there would you think he meant he would trade him for Danny Ainge? A literal reading of the quote implies he would trade with the Hornets. But it is a joke. It also says he says that before laughing, he makes no mention of taking a call, he is saying if Michael Jordan is being offered to us I would take it and then laughs.
