Both Sully and Zeller are eligible for rookie contract extensions between the end of the July moratorium and October 31, 2015. I'm wondering if folks have heard any rumours or if you think Danny will even engage in these discussions.

It seems to me that it might be worth wrapping both up if the money is right. From the teams perspective Zeller is due to make $2.6 mill, and I wonder if he'd do a 3 yr/ $12 mill extension, thru 17/18. Sully is a trickier proposition given concerns about weight and health, but even there, there might be a value play in an extension if the team sees him losing the weight etc....

I'd wait on Sullinger.

Zeller could make some sense, though from his side of things it's probably smarter to wait to hit RFA and see if some team with crazy cap space next summer tries to gamble on him being a really good complementary piece at center.

I think Zeller will get much much more than 4mil per. Bass is making 7mil, Zeller is a true Center, is younger, has a PER of 19 btw. (I know it´s PER) and the cap goes up significantly. Could see him land something around 10mil if he has a slightly improved season next year.

Players coming off their third NBA season can agree to extensions from July 1 through Oct. 31.

Put in a weight clause in Sully's contract and sign him to an extension.

Yes on Zeller, he works hard and is still developing his outside game. His D is what it is.

Sully would have to come in preseason in very noticably changed condition for me. Not just less weight, but more defined. He needs to have a strict weight claise in his contract, and show evidence he can be effective in this new new condition. I'm suspicious of what Sully will turn into after he's signed to a hefty contract.

Only yes if we sign or trade for our all-star types this summer. They are very good players and deserve a pay increase, but I don't want to use all of our cap space without first acquiring a cornerstone player.

Almost all of the rookie extensions go to guys who end up getting more than $10m/year.

Unanimously, extend Zeller.
Work on Sullinger to be in shape and have a great half of season and trade him at the deadline with max value.
