Both names were mentioned as 2 of the 10 players most likely to be traded. And both were linked and mentioned as possible destinations to the Boston Celtics.

Splitter is still young, but gets hurt a lot. Solid defender.

Hibbert is an aircraft carrier, I don't think he fits into an up and down game. But he's also a defensive presence, and rim protector.

any thoughts?

I have a lot of interest in Hibbert for the celtics. If we can't get WCS in the draft, I would go for Hibbert as an affordable free agent option or trade target at center. The Pacers want to dump him, and his value is at an all time low, but he has legit size and all-star level talent, and is still young.

Pass on RH and Splitter is a guy I'd go for if he could stay healthy.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

These are the type of guys Id go after if we secure a top FA or two. Joakim Noah and taj Gibson are also in this boat for me.

Hmm not huge on either unless we got another star here. If we had Lamarcus i would take either probably hibbert over Tiago though. Would take Noah over any of them though. Would you do say Wallace 16 and 28 for Noah and 22?

ok, but please explain why you hold this opinion. i dont know enough about either player to take a stand here, so anything you might add that provides logic, support, or depth to your post would be appreciated.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Yes, especially Hibbert.

I think it's getting more unlikely the C's score a rim protector this summer, either within the draft or FA. Hibbert is a proven player, and although he's had a couple down years, he would help the C's post defense tremendously. Then Sully/Olynyk could spend more time at their natural positions (or LMA, if they somehow snag him).

Maybe he just had one good contract year, rather than a few down years.

Tiago Splitter is from my country. I watched him play since he was very young and I have to tell you. He's Fab melo all over again. He sucks. He's benefited by a system in which he barely even touches the basketball, doesnt shoot too many free throws and doesnt even have the main assignment defensively. Basically I could play his role if I was 7'0

Are we talking about the SA PF/C player called Tiago Splitter or someone else ???
Cause this guy was one of the best pf/c in euroleague for 105-6 years and then for the Spurs he is averaging 9p/5r in 19mins. Nothing jawdropping but his is light years from Fab Melo status!

So... if Fab Melo had been drafted by the Spurs ... he would have a world championship ring?

Hyperbole, much?
