Hard to read your post, plus I don't see the relation with the tittle.
Any link please?

You have to love Smart's work ethic and attitude.

Wouldn't be a Rollie thread if it were exactly clear.

But I take it he's referring this to quote from Marcus:

Advice for fellow rookie James Young: "My advice would be to tell him, "You've got to work harder than you've ever worked. This isn't college anymore. Guys are better than you or just as good as you and they're always gonna bring someone to replace you if you're not gonna do what you're supposed to do, so you've got to keep that in mind, that I could be gone at any given time because every year there's another batch of players coming in.""

Seems to be unfortunate confirmation that the rumors of Young's poor work ethic and focus have some basis.

some have it and some have to develope it and others never get it--TP for your effort

Not too concerned about Young's work ethic, yet. The kid is 19 and the NBA is a lot to take in. Bradley took a couple of years, and he even admitted that he just started watching film and doing what it takes to becoming a professional in this league. I expect Young to get a chance for the Cs to see if he's a keeper this year. I don't see his trade value being that high so, rather than give him away let's give the kid a chance.

Could there possibly be another reference other than most obvious explanation for the quote? Maybe Smart was referencing that Young was currently working hard and he has to keep it up? Maybe there is some uncertainty in the quote with Young's current work ethic.

I think that Young's working hard and has to keep it up as he was training in Waltham and Stevens isn't worried about his work ethic.
